I’ve been thinking a lot about how this case affected Demetrious Thomas’s family, especially with him expecting his first child at the time of his death. It's difficult to imagine the pain his loved ones must be going through, knowing that his child will grow up never getting to meet him. From what I've read, he was really excited about becoming a father. The community losing him means a child losing a parent before they ever had the chance to form memories together, which is absolutely devastating. I hope his family has all the support they need during these times. It also makes me wonder about the programs or support systems in place for children and families affected by violence like this. Would love to hear your thoughts.
