Jamillah Collier was 17 and a Roosevelt High School senior when she was killed on February 19, 2017, in Moreno Valley. She was returning from a party with friends when the vehicle she was in was followed and ambushed by unknown assailants who opened fire. Jamillah and two other girls, including her sister, were struck; Jamillah died of her injuries.
Family remembered her as kind and generous, and said she had been accepted to three colleges and planned to become a paramedic. The community held a vigil outside the home where the shooting occurred. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department opened an investigation but no arrests have been announced.
Does anyone have information about that night or the people involved who could help investigators bring those responsible to justice?
