Maurice Gipson was 41 when he was last seen on July 2, 2012 — the day of his birthday. He left his home on Glass Creek Road in the rural community of Haynesville, Louisiana, reportedly on foot intending to walk into town. Family members say the lack of contact afterward was out of character, and they reported him missing when repeated attempts to reach him failed.

Gipson is described as a Black male, 6 feet 1 inch and about 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. There is no record of him having any transportation that day and no information about what he was wearing when he left. The Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office took the case, but the initial investigation produced few leads and the case later went cold.

The circumstances of his departure did not immediately suggest foul play, yet no trace of him has been found. Does anyone in Haynesville or the surrounding area remember Maurice or have information about his movements around July 2, 2012?
