Has anyone else been following the case of Jose Tacuba Cruz? What stands out to me is how much he was loved by his community. I've been reading about how he was cleaning up after a child’s birthday celebration when his life was taken, and it really hits home just how senseless this act was. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time shouldn't be a death sentence for anyone. I commend his family and friends for their strength and perseverance. Organizing memorials and vigils to honor his memory must be incredibly difficult but also healing in some way. It's frustrating that there’s still no closure or justice for them. The entire situation is such a reminder of how deeply violence affects not just one life, but an entire community. Hopefully, with more awareness and people willing to speak up, there will be some breakthrough soon. Anybody else have thoughts or updates on how his family is holding up?
