Andrew Miller was 24 and living in Empire, California, when he was shot and killed on November 19, 2015. The shooting occurred about 8:45 PM in front of a home on the 100 block of Church Street. Miller was transported by ambulance to a hospital but died of his wounds.

Investigators have considered possible motives including robbery and gang initiation, but there were no witnesses willing to come forward. Miller’s fiancée, Allison Silveira, who was eight months pregnant at the time, has spoken publicly about the family’s heartbreak and desire for justice.
