Nayel Shabex, 23, was found shot and unresponsive inside a car on the 5000 block of Deal Drive in Oxon Hill, Maryland, on the afternoon of Friday, February 1, 2019. Prince George’s County officers responding to a welfare check pronounced him dead at the scene after he was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds.

Detectives canvassed the neighborhood in the days after the shooting and asked residents to come forward with any information. A reward of up to $25,000 was offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
