Kermit Holland, 53, was found dead from a gunshot wound inside the garage of his Upper Marlboro home on Vandiver Court on the night of December 15, 2017. Patrol officers responding to a call about 10:50 p.m. pronounced him dead at the scene and the death was classified as a homicide.

Investigators from the Prince George’s County Police Department searched for suspects and a motive. Holland’s black 2014 Toyota RAV4 was missing from the residence and is believed to have been taken by the person or persons responsible. A reward of up to $25,000 was offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.

There have been no public announcements about arrests or identified suspects in the years after the killing, and the case remains unresolved. If anyone knew Holland, saw activity around Vandiver Court that night, or has information about the missing RAV4, please come forward.
