Howard James Burley III, 27, was found shot multiple times inside his vehicle on Fernwood Street in Rosamond, California, around 12:30 a.m. on August 9, 2015. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office responded and opened an investigation; the weapon was not recovered and the suspect vehicle was described as a white, late 1990s compact car that has not been located.

Detectives identified 33-year-old Angelia Wilkerson as a person of interest. Wilkerson was reportedly in Burley’s company the evening before the shooting, and investigators asked the public to help locate her for questioning.
