I can't stop thinking about the fact that Steve had just graduated high school and was ready to start this new chapter in his life. It's beyond tragic that he didn't get the chance to pursue his dreams at junior college. For his mother, losing a child is an unimaginable pain that no parent should ever endure. She must have been so proud of him, yet constantly worrying about his safety, especially in that neighborhood. This whole situation is so senseless. Mistaken identity and violence have taken away such a promising young life. It's terrifying how quickly everything changed for those friends just hanging out that night. I really hope someone comes forward with information. Steve's family deserves closure and peace. Anyone who knows anything, please share with the authorities. They need all the help they can get in solving this case and bringing justice to Steve and his family.

I just can't stop thinking about how Steve's mom must feel. She warned him about staying out too late in that area and tried to look out for him as any loving parent would. Yet here we are, and I can only imagine how much she's struggling with the "what ifs." It's so tragic that a moment of wanting to spend time with friends ended this way. I truly hope that the community and anyone with information will step up to bring some sense of closure to Steve's family. It's devastating to think this was just a horrible case of mistaken identity. Keeping his family in my thoughts.
