Davin James Boone, 29, of East Compton, California, was shot and killed in the early morning hours of May 4, 2015. He was found unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a Buick in the 4800 block of E. McMillan Street after neighbors reported hearing gunshots. Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrived and pronounced Boone dead at the scene at 5:42 a.m.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau is handling the investigation. Reports indicate few public updates and that no arrests have been announced; authorities have asked anyone with information to come forward and noted tips can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers. The case remains open.
