Angelo Esqueda, 53, was found shot multiple times in front of a residence on Vallejo Avenue in Rodeo, California, shortly after midnight on November 12, 2014. He was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead hours later. Authorities say the confrontation began as an argument over a woman and escalated into violence.
The primary suspect named in the case is 41-year-old Marcus Serhan of Rodeo. Serhan was charged in connection with Esqueda’s killing; prosecutors contend he shot Esqueda multiple times and then led police on a chase through several towns before being taken into custody. He also faced additional charges tied to the chase, including carjacking, kidnapping for a carjacking, and evading police.
Esqueda’s family publicly described their grief and anger during court proceedings and said his death has had a profound effect on them. Does anyone have information about that night or witnessed activity near Vallejo Avenue on November 12, 2014?
