I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of witness testimonies and why some people might feel reluctant to come forward in cases like Edgar Smith Jr.'s. The Smith family deserves to know what happened and deserves closure. I wonder if there could be more done in terms of protecting witnesses or encouraging them to speak without fear. It feels like the key to solving this case might lie with someone in the community who saw or heard something that night. It's heartbreaking to think that someone might be holding onto information that could bring justice to Edgar and his loved ones.
