Michael Paul Clark, 38, was shot and killed on June 30, 2014, in Crestline, California, after a heated dispute with his neighbor, Steven Michael Baumgartner, a former Riverside County deputy. The shooting occurred in the 23900 block of Wildwood Lane near Lake Gregory; Clark was found lying on his back with a gunshot wound to the face and was airlifted to St. Bernardine Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Neighbors had reported frequent verbal altercations between the two men, and deputies had responded to a dispute at the same address three days earlier. On the night of the killing multiple neighbors called authorities after gunfire. Baumgartner, 53, allegedly retrieved a .357 Magnum from his residence and shot Clark; he was taken into custody at the scene, booked on a murder charge and held without bail after pleading not guilty at his initial appearance.

Does anyone have information about Clark or the neighborhood tensions leading up to that night?
