Francisco Lopez Medina, 32, was shot and killed in the driveway of a home on the 4200 block of Santa Rita Road in El Sobrante on the night of April 27, 2014. Deputies arrived after a 911 call at about 9:40 p.m.; Medina was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation, sending crime scene technicians and conducting interviews to establish a motive and identify suspects. No arrests were made immediately after the shooting, and investigators asked the public for tips, including anonymous reports. Medina’s death was the first homicide in El Sobrante in 2014.
Does anyone who lived in or near El Sobrante that night have information that could help investigators or knew Francisco Medina?
