Daniel Pensamiento Galdamez, a 21-year-old Latino man, was shot in the face on April 17, 2014, outside Pyramid Liquor in a strip mall on the 1600 block of East Palmdale Boulevard. The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m.; he died of his wounds two days later in Palmdale, California.
Witnesses said Daniel and his brother had been talking with a homeless man when a group of males confronted them, and Daniel was struck by a shotgun blast. The investigation prompted a large search in the neighborhood between 11th Street East and 12th Street East, from Avenue Q to Palmdale Boulevard. A juvenile suspect was taken into custody on May 15, 2014, after a K-9 unit located the individual at the La Quinta Apartments; the suspect’s identity was not disclosed because of their age.
What details about that evening or the people involved could someone in Palmdale still provide to help clarify what happened?
