Zachary Lee, 43, of Ventura, California, was shot in the head during an altercation on October 6, 2013, after going to a west Ventura store to do a favor for a friend. An eyewitness saw Lee struggle with three men; one of the suspects produced a pistol and shot him. He was left on the sidewalk, taken to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition, declared brain dead, and died a few days later.
The attack happened at 35 West Harrison Avenue. The Ventura Police Department classified the death as a homicide and opened an investigation; no arrests have been announced and the case remains unsolved. The community established a reward fund to encourage information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Who knew Zachary or was in west Ventura that day and might have seen something that could help bring those responsible to justice?
