Robert Edward ’Bob’ Harris, 72, was found shot and dead in his bed at his Placerville, California, home on the evening of January 6, 2013. He had a long career with the U.S. Forest Service, including time as Supervisor of the Tahoe Basin, and was active in his community and family life.

His wife, Colleen Harris, 70 at the time, was arrested on January 9, 2013, on suspicion of murder after being at the scene.
