I can't stop thinking about the impact Steve Bueno's loss has had on the tight-knit community at North Salinas High. It’s clear from all the comments and stories shared that Steve was much more than just a talented athlete—he was a genuinely kind and spirited young man who brought people together. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for his family and friends to process such a senseless act of violence that took away someone so cherished. What really strikes me is that in a place where everyone seemed to know each other, the fact that the shooter hasn’t been caught is incredibly unsettling. It’s terrifying to think that someone could commit such a heinous act and vanish without a trace, leaving so many unanswered questions. I’ve read that the shooter fled in a loud gold Honda, which should have been a noticeable detail. How has this lead not resulted in more information over the years? It’s heartbreaking to see a community rally for justice without resolution. My thoughts are with Steve’s family and friends, and I'm hoping for some closure for them in the future. If anyone was around that area back in 2011 or has any information, please consider coming forward. Every little bit could help piece together what happened that tragic day.
