I’ve been going down a rabbit hole trying to understand how things could get so out of control in the Covina massacre. It’s terrifying to think about the meticulous level of planning that Bruce Pardo put into this heinous act. From reports, it seems he had rented multiple cars and had plane tickets ready, which shows he was set on doing this for a while. I can't help but feel immense sadness for the Ortega family and everyone else affected. It must be immensely difficult knowing someone they once knew and trusted could execute something so cold-blooded. Also, Pardo’s decision to dress as Santa Claus of all things during the holiday season just adds another layer of cruelty. How are the survivors supposed to live with those visuals during Christmas forever? This kind of evil leaves a scar that time can't easily heal. My heart goes out to the victim's families and friends trying to piece together their lives after such a monumental loss.
I've been following the Covina Christmas Eve tragedy, and something that really struck me was the extent of premeditation Bruce Pardo put into this horrific act. It's chilling to think how meticulously he planned everything, going as far as crafting a makeshift flamethrower and booby-trapping his car. What really gets me is the depth of his anger that could drive someone to such extreme measures. This whole situation is beyond devastating for the Ortega family and the other victims. At a time that should have been filled with joy and celebration, they were instead met with unimaginable loss. It's crucial that we continue discussing ways to identify and mitigate the signs of someone spiraling into such a dark mindset. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy.
I’ve been following the Covina massacre case and can’t stop thinking about the innocent 8-year-old girl who first opened the door to Bruce Pardo. It’s unimaginable how terrifying that moment must have been for her and how it marked the beginning of such a horrifying tragedy. It’s truly awful to consider the lifelong trauma she’s likely to endure after witnessing such violence at such a young age. My heart goes out to her and all the children affected by that night. I hope they’ve been able to find some peace and support over the years to help them heal from such an unimaginable ordeal. Does anyone know if there are any efforts to support the child survivors of the Covina massacre? It would be comforting to hear that they’re receiving the care and help they need.
