Tarroll Carroll, a 40-year-old Black man and licensed barber who worked at V.I.P. Barber Shop, was shot and killed in Baltimore on May 6, 2017. He was a father of two and is remembered by his mother, siblings, and friends as loving and funny. The shooting occurred during a year when the city was seeing a record number of homicides.
