Wayne Drummond Jr. was 23 when he was shot and killed near the University of California, Berkeley campus on September 4, 2006. He had moved to the Bay Area from Southern California after immigrating from Jamaica at age 12, was working for UPS, and hoped to study environmental design at UC Berkeley.

The shooting happened after an altercation outside Blakes on Telegraph, a nightclub in Berkeley, involving Drummond and two other men, Brandon Crowder and Nicholas Beaudreaux. He managed to reach the doorstep of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority house, collapsed, and died shortly after.

Nicholas Beaudreaux and Brandon Crowder were arrested in February 2008; Beaudreaux was charged with first-degree murder and attempted second-degree robbery, and later convicted and sentenced to 50 years to life in July 2009. Charges against Crowder were dropped. If anyone knew Wayne or witnessed the events around Blakes on Telegraph that night, please share what was seen or heard.
