Fernando Pina, 25 and originally from Zacatecas, Mexico, was murdered January 27, 2004, in South Whittier, California. Pina went with Mario Larios and Edgar Valles to a home after responding to an advertisement to buy a Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The seller, Cimarron Bell, allegedly lured the three men to the house to rob and kill them.

All three victims were ambushed, shot, robbed and later found in Larios’ leased Mercedes-Benz, abandoned behind a La Mirada shopping center. Investigators reported the victims’ pockets had been turned inside out and that DNA and blood from the victims and patched bullet holes were found in Bell’s home. Bell was convicted of the murders and sentenced to death; an accomplice, Briaell Lee, was charged and was awaiting trial.

Does anyone have information about the victims’ movements that day or about the advertised Monte Carlo that could help fill gaps in the timeline?
