Has anyone else come across Roosevelt Bowden Jr.'s case? It's really unsettling how little attention it received back in 2001. Westmont, LA has definitely seen its share of crime-related challenges, but that doesn’t make his death any less important or deserved of attention. I can't help but wonder if the lack of media coverage at the time has contributed to the stalemate in the investigation. Something that caught my eye was how there were no immediate suspects or arrests announced. It makes you think about the possible reasons why witnesses might not have come forward. Was it fear of retaliation or just nobody witnessing the actual incident? I hope that with advancements in technology and forensics, we can still hope for some breakthroughs. My thoughts are with Roosevelt’s family, who must still be searching for answers and justice after all this time. It must be incredibly difficult not having closure. Is there anyone from the LA area who remembers this case or knows if there have been any recent efforts to reopen it or seek new leads? Every voice raised in awareness can hopefully contribute to finding justice for him.
