Hi everyone, I was reflecting on Deputy Steven Belanger’s tragic story today, particularly the role of the wanted driver in the events leading up to the ambush. It's unsettling to think about how pivotal moments can stem from seemingly routine encounters. The fact that Belanger recognized the driver from a previous assault shows a keen readiness to protect and serve, but also underscores the unpredictability of law enforcement work. It's important to remember that the driver played a significant part in this tragedy, and understanding more about his background and connection to the shooter might shed light on why things escalated the way they did. What do you guys think about the driver's role in this? Do any of you have more insights on how traffic stops can potentially escalate based on past criminal activity? Let's keep Deputy Belanger’s family and friends in our thoughts as we discuss. Stay safe out there.
