Glee Ethel Mitchell Ewell, 57, was one of three members of the Ewell family found shot to death in their Sunnyside, California home on April 19, 1992. Glee sustained four gunshot wounds, including a shot below the eye; her husband Dale and daughter Tiffany were each shot once. The bodies were discovered two days later after their son Dana notified family friends that he could not reach his parents.

Investigators concluded the killings were motivated by financial gain. Dana Ewell, then pursuing a career in investment banking, allegedly conspired with a college friend, Joel Radovcich, after his parents moved to cut off his financial support. Radovcich is reported to have carried out the shootings while Dana was away for the Easter weekend. Both men were later arrested, convicted of the murders, and sentenced to life without parole.
