Tiffany Ann Ewell, 24, was one of three members of the Ewell family found shot to death in their Sunnyside, California, home on April 19, 1992, Easter Sunday. Tiffany and her parents, Dale and Glee Ewell, had just returned from a trip to the coast when the family was ambushed in their house.
Investigators later focused on Tiffany’s college-aged brother, Dana Ewell, after detectives identified financial motives and unusual behavior. Authorities say Dana conspired with a college friend, Joel Radovcich, who was identified as the gunman. Prosecutors relied on forensic evidence, witness testimony, and financial records to build their case.
Both men were tried, convicted of the three murders, and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The betrayal of family for financial gain remains central to how this crime is remembered.
If anyone knew Tiffany or the Ewell family, or has information about the case, please share what is known.
