Carolyn Gleason, 36, was murdered on March 11, 1992, in Palo Alto, California. She worked as a property manager at a real estate office and was killed during a robbery at her workplace. Reports say the attacker, Celeste Simone Carrington, had previously been a janitor in the building and used that knowledge to gain access. Carrington allegedly shot Gleason execution-style while Gleason was on her knees, using a .357 magnum revolver that had been stolen during an earlier burglary.

Carrington was arrested on March 20, 1992, and confessed to these murders and other crimes.
