Brenda Rachelle Oakden Rule was 19 when she was murdered on February 3, 1983, in Burlingame, California. Her death was one of six killings attributed to Anthony Jack Sully, a former Peninsula police officer. Reports say Sully beat, stabbed and shot his victims inside an electrical supply warehouse; the bodies of Brenda and two others were later found stuffed into barrels dumped in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.

The investigation led to Sully’s arrest and conviction. He was sentenced to death on June 3, 1986; his conviction and sentence were upheld by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in 2013. Sully continued to proclaim his innocence, and later died of natural causes in 2023.

Does anyone have memories of Brenda, where she worked or lived, or information that might shed light on her life before February 3, 1983?
