It's been bothering me to think about how the jury could have acquitted Leon after he openly admitted to planning Dee's murder for two months. I understand emotions run high, especially when it comes to matters of love and betrayal, but it's hard to reconcile premeditation with self-defense. It almost feels like the notion of "sanctity of home" overshadowed the fact that a life was deliberately taken. My heart goes out to Dee's family. They deserved justice for his loss. It feels like Leon's calculated actions were somewhat glossed over, and that's troubling. How do others feel about the jury’s decision? Was this a product of the times, or something more?
