Latosia Warren, 36, of DeLand, Florida, was found dead inside a car parked at a Walgreens on East New York Avenue on May 15, 2022. The vehicle, which had been parked there since early Sunday morning, was not registered in her name. A concerned citizen reported the car to police, who found Warren inside; she had been shot multiple times and spent shell casings were on the driver’s seat. From the outside the car showed no obvious signs of disturbance.

Police identified Warren’s husband, Robert Fleming, as the primary suspect. Fleming and Warren, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, had been in Central Florida for several months and were considering relocating. Fleming was wanted on a first-degree murder charge and was later located and arrested in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on May 25, 2022, with extradition to Florida pending.

Warren and Fleming had been together for 20 years and had three children. Her mother, Kimberly Green, described her daughter as loving and caring. The circumstances leading to Warren’s death remain unclear and the investigation was ongoing. If anyone knew Latosia, her movements in DeLand that week, or has information about what happened, please come forward.
