Willie Lee Slater Jr, 44, was found dead of gunshot wounds on April 9, 2022, on St. Nicholas Avenue in Christmas, Florida. Deputies pronounced him dead at the scene after responding to the early-morning call; authorities initially reported some confusion about his age before confirming his identity.

The same night a woman in her 20s was shot at a nearby Circle K and taken to hospital in stable condition. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said the two shootings were believed to be connected. Nearly two weeks later, investigators arrested 22-year-old Shawn Robinson and charged him with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, accusing him of shooting both victims.

What details about that night, or about Slater’s life and movements prior to the shootings, might help investigators or anyone with information?
