I’ve been reading about the tragic deaths of Marvin and Sondra Wiener and can’t stop thinking about what their community must be going through. Living in a close-knit neighborhood like Valencia Lakes, you often get to know your neighbors on a personal level, and this must have been such a shock for everyone there. It's so sad to think of them as a lovely couple who lived there since 2009 and were undoubtedly a part of the community's fabric. I wonder if there were signs of Marvin's deteriorating health impacting his mental state that friends or neighbors noticed but perhaps didn't understand fully. It's a reminder of how important it is to stay attuned to the emotional and psychological well-being of our aging loved ones. These situations can be so complex and delicate, and I hope the community is finding ways to support each other through such a difficult time. It also makes me think that there’s got to be more discussions about elder care support—not just for physical health, but mental health as well. Sending thoughts to those who knew them and are grappling with this loss.
