Nancey Schreiner, 44, was shot and killed on February 9, 2021, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She was found with a gunshot wound to the chest near the intersection of Marler Street and Shirley Drive at about 9:45 PM. Investigators reported the area had been struck by dozens of rounds from multiple weapons; several vehicles and homes nearby were also hit, though no other injuries were reported.

Residents described hearing a barrage of loud gunfire followed by smaller shots and took cover until police arrived. Home surveillance captured the sounds of the shooting, and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has said the neighborhood off Lovejoy Road has a history of prevalent crime. No arrests have been announced and the investigation remains open.
