Is anyone else struck by the lack of security cameras in the Northgate Villas area? I’ve been following the tragedy of Wintrell Jones, and it’s really upsetting to think that in this day and age, there weren’t surveillance cameras that could help identify the perpetrator. I’m just speculating here, but maybe having cameras around might have helped the investigation or even deterred this senseless violence in the first place. It’s truly a shame that Wintrell's family and friends have to wait without answers. Ocala is a community, and we need to think about how we can better protect each other. Without surveillance footage, it's difficult for law enforcement to get those much-needed leads. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved him. We need to do better to make sure tragedies like this are harder to commit.
