I'm absolutely shocked by the details surrounding Shane Boone's shooting. Living in Lake City myself, it hits different when it's so close to home. I've read that Shane was truly loved by everyone who knew him, especially with how vibrant his personality was. It makes me wonder about the community aspect of this town—how can we come together more effectively to help prevent such senseless crimes? It's reassuring that the investigation moved swiftly, but I can only imagine what Shane’s family is going through with every stage of this legal process. Marquez L. Henry was caught, but it feels like there's still such a long road to any kind of justice or healing. Just keeping Shane and his family in my thoughts, and hoping for some peace for everyone affected. If this isn’t a wake-up call about gun violence in our area, I don’t know what is. What can we do as a community to make Lake City safer for everyone?
