Veronica Louise Sacco was 29 when her remains were found on April 26, 2021, in a remote area near Five Mile Road and Schofield Road close to the Orange County line. She had been reported missing from her Orlando residence on April 12, 2021. Land surveyors located a badly decomposed body that Lake County investigators later identified as Sacco.

Law enforcement arrested 21-year-old Denzelle Jordan Turner of Orlando in connection with Sacco’s death; he was charged with first-degree murder. Authorities say Sacco was killed in her Orange County home and her body later transported to the remote site. Turner fled to Georgia and was taken into custody by Cobb County police on May 14, 2021 before being returned to Florida. Reports describe a volatile, violent relationship and prior threats with a gun.

Sacco’s family reports deep grief and the community has organized financial support for her children. Anyone with information about Sacco, her movements in April 2021, or the relationship between Sacco and Turner is asked to come forward.
