Amber Jill Campbell, 43, was killed in a drive-by shooting on August 22, 2020, in the 2600 block of Fletcher Court in Hollywood, Florida. The shooting occurred about 1:30 p.m. in front of her home while Campbell, a doula and mother of three, was talking with neighbor Denzell Williams. Both Campbell and Williams were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital and died of their injuries.

Investigators say Campbell was an innocent bystander and that Williams, in his late 20s and a father of two, may have been the intended target because he was expected to be a witness in an upcoming criminal trial. No suspects have been arrested; police are seeking the driver of the vehicle involved. Campbell’s family and friends say her recent loss of her husband and her devotion to her children and work have made the killing especially devastating.
