Has anyone else been following the Kevin Austin case in Melbourne? I was thinking about the fact that he lived so close to Stone Middle School. It's chilling to think how something so tragic could happen in such a seemingly normal neighborhood. It reminds me of how violence can really be closer to home than we think. My heart goes out to Austin's friends and family. I can't imagine what they're going through, living in the same community that now carries this tragic memory. I hope that with time they can find some peace. Does anyone know if any community support or initiatives have been started in the area since this happened? It seems like something more needs to be done to address conflicts before they escalate.
