Nixon Ward, 36, of Lauderhill, Florida, was shot multiple times while inside his car on July 31, 2020. His vehicle then struck a light pole at the corner of NW 23rd Street and 59th Terrace. Ward was taken to Broward Health Medical Center and pronounced dead on arrival.

The shooting left family and the community distraught. His 13-year-old daughter, Tori Francois, publicly pleaded for anyone with information about her father’s killer to come forward; his sister, Caritasse Rosche, joined the appeal. Broward Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $3,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest, but no arrest has been announced and the investigation is active.
