Jonathan Tyler Harvard was 26 when he died on February 20, 2020, in Crestview, Florida. Born October 2, 1993, in Fort Walton Beach, he grew up in Mossy Head, later lived in Niceville and attended Niceville High School. He worked for an offshore company and enjoyed hunting, fishing and music; he was a fan of the Florida Gators.
On the night of February 20, 2020, Harvard was found dead in a room at the Crestview Inn on West James Lee Boulevard with a single gunshot wound to the head. The Crestview Police Department, assisted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the State Attorney’s Office, investigated the scene; drugs were reported found in the room. Authorities arrested 38-year-old Lovejoy Cassie Ponthieux of Santa Rosa Beach and charged Ponthieux with Harvard’s murder; Ponthieux was held at the Okaloosa County Jail without bond.
What details might help explain how Harvard and Ponthieux came to be together that night, and can anyone with information about the hotel stay or the events before 11 p.m. on February 20, 2020, assist investigators?
