Isaiah Wallie Terrell Walters, an 18-year-old from Eustis, Florida, was shot on January 29, 2020, at Berry Park in the Carver Heights neighborhood of Leesburg during what police described as a drug deal that went wrong. He was taken to Leesburg Regional Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. Investigators said the shooting was not premeditated but stemmed from the failed transaction.

Two suspects were later arrested in connection with the killing. Jacob Anthony Pontiff, 19, of Leesburg, was arrested by Leesburg Police on February 6, 2020, and charged with third-degree murder and attempting to sell cannabis/amphetamine; he was held on $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on March 2, 2020. A 17-year-old, Donald C. Miller, turned himself in after a poster with his photograph warned he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who knew Isaiah, was in the Carver Heights area that day, or has information about the shooting is asked to come forward.
