Malik Rolle, 20, was fatally shot on November 25, 2019, in Brownsville, Florida, during a violent altercation that resulted in a double homicide. He and 25-year-old Thomas Williams were standing along Northwest 44th Street and 29th Avenue just before 7 p.m. when both were shot. Officers nearby heard the gunfire and responded quickly.

The shooters fled in a black sedan later determined to have been stolen from Polk County three months earlier. That vehicle crashed into a marked police cruiser during the pursuit, injuring two officers. Police found two assault rifles inside the sedan. Johnson Oscar was arrested, charged with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder, and was found hiding in a nearby yard; he allegedly confessed to being inside the sedan during the shooting and to fleeing after the crash. Detectives continued to search for additional suspects.

Rolle was a Miami resident and formerly of Nassau, Bahamas. He is survived by his parents, siblings, and an extended family who gathered to remember him. Does anyone have information about that evening or the people involved that could help investigators bring more answers?
