Kendrick Lenard Walker, 41, of Orange Park, Florida, was fatally shot on December 24, 2018. Officers with the Orange Park Police Department responded around 8 p.m. to reports of shots fired in the Floyd Circle area and found Walker had already been taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound; he later died at the hospital. Investigators determined Walker was shot while leaving the Floyd Circle area in a vehicle.
In the months after the shooting, police developed leads that resulted in the arrest of 21-year-old Dartorian Markell Lee on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The arrest warrant was heavily redacted but referenced a witness who identified Lee as involved; Lee was not directly charged with Walker’s murder in the documents described. Detectives continued to investigate whether others were involved.
Walker was a father of six. Does anyone have information about the December 24, 2018 shooting or about people connected to the Floyd Circle area that night?
