Trenesa Roberts, 39, was shot and killed outside her Lehigh Acres home on December 10, 2018. She was found in her driveway around 6:30 a.m., still in her Lee County Public School District bus attendant uniform. Neighbors said they heard gunshots between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m., but authorities were not called until about two hours later.

Roberts was a mother of four. Her family believes she was targeted rather than the victim of a random robbery; nothing was reported stolen from her. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office canvassed the neighborhood and interviewed witnesses but has not announced any arrests. The family and community have pushed for answers, Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward, and additional investigative resources were reported to have been assigned to older unsolved cases.

If anyone knew Trenesa, saw or heard anything in Lehigh Acres that morning, or has information that could help, please contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
