Antonio Maurice Bradley, a 35-year-old African American man, was found dead on November 14, 2018, in Myakka City, Florida. A local resident discovered his body burning along M-J Road at about 11:20 p.m.; emergency responders extinguished the flames and Bradley was pronounced dead at the scene. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office treated the death as a homicide after determining Bradley had been killed before his body was set on fire.

Investigators reported Bradley had been staying in Bradenton and had also lived in Sarasota. During the probe, Aaron Koziak, a 38-year-old man, was identified as a person of interest, was arrested on unrelated charges, and later confessed to killing Bradley and using firewood and gasoline to burn his body. Koziak was formally charged with Bradley’s murder.
