Londonn Moore was 20 when her body was found on September 8, 2018, lying in the road on Sawyer Circle in North Port, Florida. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Her car was found abandoned the next day at a different location several miles from her hometown of Port Charlotte.

Local media and police initially misgendered and deadnamed Moore. The North Port Police Department described the incident as isolated and suggested she likely knew her attacker, but no arrests have been announced and the suspect remains at large. Police have not ruled out a hate crime. Activists and LGBTQ+ organizations called attention to Moore’s death as part of a pattern of violence against transgender women of color; it was reported as the fifth murder of a Black transgender woman in Florida in 2018.

The investigation remains open with no significant developments reported; Moore’s family, friends, and advocates express ongoing frustration. If anyone knew Londonn, her movements that week, or saw her car after September 8, please share what was seen.
