Tabia Perez Creek, a 60-year-old Hispanic woman, was shot and killed in her Windermere, Florida home on June 22, 2018. Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance at about 8:50 p.m.; they heard gunfire on arrival and found Creek with gunshot wounds in a bedroom. She was taken to Winter Garden Hospital in critical condition and later died of her injuries.

The shooting occurred during a verbal argument at the Bridgewater Crossings Boulevard residence. The dispute involved Creek and her 41-year-old son, Wueizman Saul Leal, and reportedly related to money and his employment status. Leal was detained as he attempted to leave the house and was arrested at the scene; he was charged with first-degree murder and held in the Orange County Jail without bond. Neighbors described the normally peaceful neighborhood as shocked by the violence.

Does anyone have information about Tabia’s life in Windermere or about the circumstances that led to the argument?
