On the evening of July 20, 2015, 37-year-old Hudson Bhagwat was found outside on the 700 block of Maury Avenue in Oxon Hill, Maryland, suffering from gunshot wounds. Prince George’s County officers arrived around 8 p.m.; Bhagwat, a Black male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators concluded the shooting was likely not random and suggested Bhagwat may have been targeted. A reward of up to $25,000 was offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment, and detectives pursued leads while trying to establish a motive. Despite those efforts and the reward, no arrests or suspect identifications have been publicly announced and the case later went cold.
Who in the Oxon Hill area at the time might have known Hudson or seen anything the night of July 20, 2015?
