Manuel Castro, 61, was found dead in Inglis, Florida, on July 29, 2017. Investigators determined his death was not natural and classified it as a homicide after evidence at the scene indicated a violent end and signs of a struggle.
Authorities identified several suspects during the inquiry. The primary suspect, Brandon Capozzi, was arrested in Williston, Florida, soon after the killing. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing a motorcycle leave the area around the time Castro died; items linking Capozzi to the scene were reportedly found in his possession. The case went to trial where the prosecution presented forensic evidence and witness testimony, the defense called the evidence circumstantial, and a jury found Capozzi guilty. He was sentenced to a lengthy prison term.
If anyone in Inglis at the time has additional information about Castro, the motorcycle sightings, or other witnesses, please share what is known.
