Lorraine Levins, 28, was found dead at her Panama City home on East 8th Street on July 3, 2017. She was discovered lying on the bedroom floor in a pool of blood and suffered multiple stab wounds to the head and neck as well as a gunshot wound. The injuries prompted a homicide investigation.

Eugearian Eugene Sharp, described as Levins’ boyfriend, was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree murder with a firearm and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Reports say Sharp made unsolicited statements implicating himself and, during questioning, admitted to stabbing Levins multiple times and shooting her, while claiming Levins had attacked him with a knife and he was acting in self-defense. Neighbors reported prior disturbances between the two.

Sharp’s attorney requested a competency evaluation; a preliminary examination noted possible intellectual disability and an IQ described as bordering on autism, and the court ordered a formal evaluation, temporarily pausing proceedings. Does anyone have information about Lorraine, her routine, or what happened that night?
